How to add Chat Button to Taskbar in Windows 11

If you find yourself wanting to customise your newly updated Windows 11 taskbar for your own personal preference, here’s how you can remove or add the chat button.

Just follow these simple instructions.

1. Firstly open settings, you can use shortcut ‘Windows Key’ + ‘I’ to do so
2. Next select Personalisation in the list to the left-hand side
3. From here find the option ‘Taskbar’ click on it
4. You should see a ‘Taskbar Items’ window, click on the switch to the right of ‘Chat’ to remove it from the taskbar.
5. Likewise follow these steps and switch the ‘Chat’ button on to add it to the taskbar.

Similarly you can follow these steps to add and remove items such as ‘Search’, ‘Task View’ and ‘Widgets’ from the Taskbar.
