As with its previous versions windows 11 has many different personalisation options you can implement in order to make it your very own space. You can easily chose between Microsoft’s library of Desktop backgrounds, or even hand pick your own. Here’s how to do so.
How to change your background in Windows 11
Changing your background hasn’t changed much since Windows 10 and still remains a simple fix. With there even being multiple ways to do so.
Option 1
- Use your mouse to right-click anywhere on your Windows desktop
- Click on ‘Personalise’ in the option list
- From here choose ‘Background’ to be taken to the personalisation menu
Option 2
- Press ‘Windows Key’ + ‘I’ to open the Settings menu
- Look for ‘Personalisation’ in the column to the left, click it
- Go to ‘Background’ from here you can change your background
Once following these steps, you are given multiple ways to personalise the look and feel of your background.
- You can decide between using a picture, solid colours or a slideshow (you can decide between 10 or 30 minutes or 6 hours cycles, and the order of the slideshow).
- A list of your recent photos will also be shown, so you can choose a background previously used.
- You can also browse files on your computer, and pick any saved images as your background.
- Additionally you get to decide how your image will fit on your desktop, to fill, fit, stretch, tile, centre, or span your screen.
