Using data intelligence to put sustainability commitments into action
In order to build towards a global net-zero carbon economy organisations of all sizes and sectors will need to transform common practises. Effectively managing their carbon footprint better, embedding sustainability in their organisation, and making strategic business investments that drive value are key factors of this. To start, organisations need easier access to centralised data intelligence in order to execute high-stake decision making choices with the correct understanding of the impact it will have on both their organisation and the environment. This is where Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability solutions comes in, it will supply the intelligence and data management capabilities organisations need to respond to changes with agility and confidence.
More than a decade of efforts for sustainability
Microsoft set their first carbon goal over a decade ago, kicking off their very own sustainability journey. Allowing Microsoft to better organise data and realign the vision on the company and the strategy they planned to use. They continue to build on their commitments to innovate and invest in technologies that address environmental sustainability and to transparently share their achievements and setbacks so they can share the lessons they have learned throughout their journey.
Sustainability Manager is available for a free test or for purchase June 1.

- Reduce the environmental impact of operations: Digital solutions are delivered through Microsoft and their growing partner ecosystem, already helping organisations optimise asset and production efficiencies, reduce the environmental impact of their buildings and spaces, and advance their transition to clean energy.
- Create more sustainable value chains: A data-first approach will help organisations achieve data integrity and gain the visibility they need to drive efficiencies, reduce emissions and design out waste.
